I need to tackle alloys on my '03 SE. Under the raised bubbly spots is a white powder -- argh aluminum "rust". Think It seems to start betweek front and back surfaces so I definately want to paint the back for corrosion protection. I plan to polish the spokes and just paint the rest finishing off with clear.

For some reason the 4G SE wheels corrode very fast. This started near end of warranty - and was termed cosmetic. I kept wheels clean, not much exposeure to salt and none to acid cleaners. Guess should have waxed ever wheel rotation!

can you post some pics of them on your truck? i am actually planning to do the exact same thing with mine. they are worse than yours with the same problem.. it looks terrible.
