Pan-hard lift bracket?

Has anyone ever thought of placing the pan-hard drop bracket that Toytec sell in this location? I don't know if there would be any advantages/disadvantages to installing it here, I guess it would then be called a "pan-hard lift bracket".
Any advice would be helpful, only thing I can think of is that it might not need as much reinforcing... maybe?

I thought that too but if you look at the bump stop it looks like it may hang lower than the bracket would. I guess I need to get it on a incline rack or a large rock and measure it out.
Have you personally tried it or is that an assumption Gerdo?

I would think you would want the pan-hard bar closer to the same line as the axle, not above it. No hard evidence of this but I would think it would be more stable that way than running above it.

Just the opposite actually, you want to roll center higher.

Yeah that is the thread that I read that got me thinking about it. I guess I was wondering if anyone had tried it. I may try it after some measurement while stuffed to make sure it might work.

Well it is in there. More work than I was expecting. Had to grind dwn the back part of the mount that is stock. It has about an eighth of metal between welds. Doesn't make sense unless you try it yourself or feel back there. I plan on getting it welded along the toytec bracket/stock mount.
One thing I did realize other than my axle centering up more(when you lift the suspension the rear axle will move farther to the passenger side the higher you lift, hence the purpose of the pan-hard drop bracket, less tracking) is that when I fully stuffed my rear driver side tire the bracket didn't hit the frame like Gerdo suspected, but that my drive shaft actually started to rotate into my stock gas skid. This problem was solved with a hammer and a crowbar by bending the 1/16" steel stock gas skid towards the gas tank, or away from the drive shaft.
I actually think Gerdo's gas skid is designed to avoid this issue.

Maybe if I order/find another drop bracket and installed it the way 99% other ppl have,it might even itself out? lol. Anybody got an extra Toytec bracket lying around? Again...???

Just about to leave for a trail run. I will make sure that I get a pic with it fully stuffed!
I had it fully compressed with the forklift, but failed to get a pic. about a 1/4" from the frame fully stuffed.
You can always grind a little off the top if needed.

This is very interesting. I am curious if your driveshaft hits the gastank. I'm sure we all know about this issue, and am wondering if this mod plus the adjustable track bar will keep it from hitting gas tank.
