Panhard bracket?

This is a Panhard up bracket. That's a Toyota Prado 120 ( same platform as 4th gen) Maybe something like that for the 3rd gen??

Interesting, i've never seen this before. For the rear I don't think it would make a difference since you effectively create the same geometry.

Yeah, that`s interesting!

Maybe something similar can be manufactured for the 3rd generation!!

Maybe I'm wrong but it seems that could be better than a drop bracket. Don't need to be welded and it seems a truly bolt on application.

Or not?

Mmm could be between the drop bracket and adjustable panhard bar. I think between 80 and 100 bucks or less.

According to Steve ( SonoranSteel ) " the correct way to do this would be to raise the axle side, not lower the frame side "

That`s why got my attention! And ( again ) don't need to be welded!!

It is still lacking in design. The Pan hard bar is supposed to be level with the horizon or parallel with the axle. The bracket is not tall enough.

So you're saying that the adjustable pan hard bar works better than the drop bracket? I'm torn between the two but I'm leaning towards the panhard bar. I have the 8.75 and 8.25 LC Wraps so you think the bar would put the differential back to spec?

I went with the SS adjustable so that I could have the adjustability if I ever wanted to go higher. Also, in looking at the drop brackets, even when they are welded, they just look like a weak point to me (I may be wrong, just my opinion) so I wanted to go with the strongest, most reliable solution.

Several times I read the adjustable pan hard bar makes the driveshaft hit even more in the gas tank.

I don't like the Toytec weld on panhard drop bracket, I don't like the idea of weld that, but apparently, it works well according to those who have it.

I like the idea of the first pic. I'll see what I can find.

For now, I'm gonna leave the original panhard bar alone.

i mean, mine bangs the WHOA out of my gas skid, but mine (the skid) is bent pretty bad. im making a new one this weekend from scratch. i got pretty sick of the GONG going off going down the trails this past weekend......
