Part Numbers For Interior Light Mod....PLEASE

also to add, on the rear door/lift gate, the leds lights do eventually go completely dark. haven't timed it yet, but I know its not longer than 30 mins unofficially. probably closer to 15 mins.

ok got the dome light in after some mod to one end. apparently the ends on the OEM buld has tapered/pinched ends and the ones from vled are rounded to a point which doesn't work for the dome on the DE3175.

you have to pinch one end to get it to sit correctly or you end up shorting out the circuit it seems.

Did you pinch then end of the actual LED bulb to a point? I ran into the same issue with my dome light. The replacement LED light is rounded at the end and won't stay put like the OEM bulb.

yes i had to pinch them to get them to fit. i didnt blow a fuse with the vleds when i put them in backwards, they just wouldnt light up.

on some of the vleds i ordered, they had dual polarity, so it didnt matter how you installed them.

any and all inputs are greatly appreciated. I know most people install the 10 led version of the 168-194 instead of the 5 led version on the superbrites and I cant find any pictures of the 5 led vs the 10 led output. most pics of the 10 led imo seem way to bright but I have no reference. what may look bright may not actually be too bright for me or vice versa.

Are these the 10 LED version you were referring to?

I am only doing the 4 door puddle lights with these along with the cargo area.
I figured the brighter the better for the door lights. Would anyone know if these would work in the mirror puddle lights as well?

I'm not 100% those will work in the door puddle slots (don't quote me), but I did just buy them for my map lights and love them. I had some terrible ebay set that was a really dim cool blue, and these provide so much more and better (mo' betta) light. I feel like they'd be pretty bright for puddles, but that's just me.

In fact, why tell you when I can show you? The front is the one you just referenced, the rear is the cheap ebay kit one. FYI, the color is deceiving in the pic. Although it looks like it has a yellow hue here compared to the rear, it doesn't whatsoever. It's pretty close to true white with a very slight blue.

Awesome, thanks for the pic.

It is no big deal if they don't go in the door puddles, I was just curious as to what most people were using for the door puddle lights.

Did you go with the cool white or warm white. I am leaning towards the warm white just so they don't seem so....sterile looking? If that is a thing.

everything on my list went in except the side mirror puddle lights. I wont do those until it get warmer.

Mine are cool, and my newbie observation is the brighter they are the less blue they seem. You're right that they do seem kinds sterile in a way! I haven't seen the warms in but was fearful they might be more yellow than a typical incandescent warm. But my fronts are slightly closer to cool blue than they actually look in that pic. The backs are uncomfortably blue for me!

If any here have warm LEDs anywhere in the interior, please post photos!

I think I put this into the thread that Harper just referenced, but here are the part numbers for the ones I ordered from super bright...

--Rear cargo area lights -- 3022-W9 LED Festoon bulb-White
--Dome light in back seat -- 3022-W9 LED Festoon bulb-White
--Map lights in front – WLED-WHP5 High power wedge base bulb-White
--Puddle lights on doors – WLED-WHP9-T LED High power wedge base bulb-White
--Side mirror lights -- WLED-WHP9-T LED High power wedge base bulb-White
--License plate lights – WLED-A6 Wedge base bulb-Amber

Also, for the cargo area, see this thread:

The puddle lights are $12.95 ea? Holy Smokes! I guess since I did the map, dome, and rear hatch I gotta do it... 194 LED Bulb - 9 SMD LED Wedge Base Tower | Miniature Wedge Base LEDs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

in another thread, it was posted by cowtown that a 3022 bulb would be a better fit instead of the 3175's, they are about 1-2 mm shorter.

just be mindful that the 3022 have 6 leds and 1/2 of them will be pointing toward the top of the housing unlike the 3175's 3 leds pointing downward.

Can anyone confirm that the bulbs are the same from 2013 to 2014?

Most of the websites with "car matching" setup, don't have 2014 listed yet.

Cheers

Glove box LED

Has anyone replaced the glove box light with LED? I'd like to replace all my interiors in my 2015 SR5.

No reply. Ahhh that's sad. I'm looking for the interior kit for my 2015 also. I've been through this thread a couple of times. I am totally ready to order a kit and this is the first mod I want to do. Should be super easy. I just need some help finding a kit.

Did the install today with the VLED bulbs. Very easy on all counts. Dome light was tight but it fit without any mods. I went with the 5000 k 80 lumin bulbs in the map lights as the 160 lumin bulbs were just too bright. Forgot to order vanity lights and will probably also go with the 80s in there also. I have got to wait till tonight to check it all out though. Here is a link to a good install video by Precision however my front door coutesy lights were different than in the vid. The 2nd row the same.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O30-rctTDA&feature=youtu.be
