I am interested, but am wondering what advantages I get by spending almost $240 after shipping VS a simple classic Coleman gas stove for $50 shipped.

I understand they wont rust, but unless I am cooking in a rain storm or while I'm rafting down a river, will I get anything extra for my $190? If the Coleman had an awful rep I would understand, but they are known to be very reliable.

I'll be ordering my second one on this GB if that helps. I was in the same boot as you when I start the first GB. I like the heavy construction, and the ability to repair these if needed. You can use any size propane tank, but I've only used up to a 10lb tank. These are beefy stoves that are very well build. The aluminum will cause it to not rust, and the stainless steel grate will last forever. You can get these modified as well if you so chose. You can have the knobs moved to the side, add leveling legs, and extra support to the grate if you use heavy cooking items.

I think the Coleman stoves WERE known for being reliable, but nowadays not much new made by Coleman really can have the word reliable associated with it. I have a Coleman propane stove from around 1990 handed down to me from my parents and I have a friend who has a similar one that's probably even older. Those ones are still going strong but I wouldn't have the same confidence in a new one that was made in China. I like supporting USA companies and appreciate quality products. If my stove was not working anymore or giving me problems I would be on one of these Partner stoves in a heartbeat. Not just in stoves, but in most of the camping stuff I've been buying lately, I try to get stuff that I can pass down one day rather than throw away in a few years. Being able to use stuff that was handed down to me has meant a lot to me and I hope to bring a future generation that joy and pride.

What is the size when opened (can I have a pot on to boil water and a pan cooking something) my assumption would be two 9" pans/pots? Also what are the windbreak options, I saw the link on accessories which showed something with the stand but wasn't clear. Wind is my nemesis so need a break...

Sorry if these answers are somewhere but I'm out of town on vacation and just happened to come across this and my wife and I had just been talking about replacing my falling apart Chinese made Century stove! I've been relying on my jetboil so much I love the idea of something compact and had been thinking how great a folding stove would be for space saving.

There's a 9" 2 burner folding stove, and a 9" 2 burner break apart stove. Both are going to be 12x6x9 when closed, and when open it would be 12x3x18. So you would be able to have 2 of something up to 9" in diameter. There wouldn't be any kind of a build in windscreen on these. Even if you could get a windscreen for these it would still be cheaper to get the regular 18" stove w/windscreen.
