Party mode versus mirror control backlighting

Just wanting to make sure I don't have a defect in mine, but it seems there is no backlighting on the side mirror adjustment or dashboard lighting dimmer switches on my 2012 LE. The switches in the panel below are all backlit, but not this row.

I find it odd that they don't put backlighting on these rather important switches, but the Party Mode switch sure has a light so you can see it at night.

This is right up there with the removal of the parking sensors on the Limited in the "That don't make no sense" category.

Depends. Mine (when pushed) causes Women with enormous....attributes to flock to my rig and promise all kinds of...... favors just to be in my presence.
I push the button quite often.

Others however claim that it is a button that while pushed directs more of the stereo to the rear hatch speakers (assuming the hatch may be up during tail gating (party mode) it purportedly works quite well with the basic system but not so much with the JBL 15 spkr system.
I like mine better!

You do not have a defect. It is pretty ridiculous the dashboard lighting dimmer is not backlit - considering this is something you would adjust when it is DARK! HAHA.

Apparently, at night, Toyota does not want me adjusting the mirrors, the backlighting of instruments, using my homelink garage opener, using my DC->AC inverter, or opening the moonroof. But yes, important things like "PARTY MODE" are easily found thanks to the backlighting.

Everytime I push my switch confetti comes outta the dash vents.

Very annoying.

I have a 2010 LTD, does the Party Mode, have a light? the one in my vehicle does not light up .
