Passenger Floor Retainer Hook holes for Weathertech Mats

I ordered the weathertech mats for a 2010 Trail Edition and the passenger side floor does not have have the holes needed to use the mat retainer hooks. When people get in it slides all over the place and I want to secure it down. What are my options? Should I just drill some holes for the hooks through the carpet?

Drilling holes would defeat the purpose of owning weathertechs. Don't they trap the water and muck? I would use velcro as well or sell them on craigslist and purchase yourself some Husky's.

Yep. Sell them and get the liners. They don't move.
