Pay It Forward Sticky

I would like to propose a "Pay it Forward" sticky thread here in the 3rd gen forum... I would be more than willing to offer up the first item in order to start this thing off...If the mods would rather us use the honor system, I will have my daughter choose the winner on December 24th.

A set of "highly coveted" front mud flaps for 3rd gen runners...(Without Flares)


The way this works is, I will start the thing off with the mud flaps. Then anyone who wants their name in the hat must post in the thread that "they are in" I will update the list daily until DEC. 24th when my daughter will pick the lucky winner. Then I will ship the item to them for free...Who ever the lucky winner of the mud flaps is, must in return take over the thread, update the list of "I'm ins" and offer up some item for the next drawing. The item must be completely free including no shipping fees...It can be anything, but who ever wins it must be ready to "pay it forward" to keep the ball rolling.

Anyone who shows interest will be added to this list up until December 24th. 2015

OP why dont you take over for December and see how it goes? You can choose a winner and monitor it?

OP this is great! I think if we can successfully do this a few times it will run itself eventually. We will need some sort of accountability for following through... any ideas? Also next round will we have another sign up? Im on here often and can help!

I'll keep an eye on the thread and if it goes well after a couple attempts I'll stick it with an appropriate title.

As a suggestion, try to keep the user entry period for each item to a week or less. Also, if you "win" an item and don't post a "pay it forward item" you get banned.....





.... ok, kidding on the banned thing BUT try to take no more than a couple weeks to post a newly listed item if you're next in line to pay it forward. Circumstances are understandable but just remember, if you don't have anything to give away then you shouldn't be trying to win in the first place, no matter how bad you want the item.

Lastly, try to keep all items 3rd gen 4runner related. No giving away hermit crabs or a ziploc'd bag of random nuts and bolts.

I know I'm still kind of new to this forum but I have been on YT for many years. Same with DR and toyotanation.
I'll start looking for things to pay forward that someone would actually want.

It is if it's traditional pay-it-forward, but this picking from a hat two weeks from now is a bit retarded.
