Inside the Pelfreybilt, T4R Gated Rear Bumper Hinge are stops. These slow and stop the gate from over extending and damaging the body of the vehicle. At the stopping location a pin will drop and keep the gate from accidentally closing. These two together will help prevent any accidental body damage via the swing out gate. We've received a few questions about our Rock Sliders and top plates. The most common is whether or not they provide more standing room.

The top plates do allow for a tiny bit more standing area and less chance of smaller foot slipping between the tubes. We typically don't have issues, but the plates do help prevent that. Sliders without top plates also work as steps, but be careful when wet or muddy. We recommend putting a small line of grip tape to prevent feet from slipping.
