Perfect stance or not???

So here's my dilemma. Most of you guys have seen my truck many times on this site. I have the ome 885/895 setup with 33's and a one inch body lift. Lately I've noticed the truck seems nose high, a buddy of mine who used to frequent here says it looks perfect but I go back and forth. I'm currently running the toytec 1/4" spacer on top of my 885's up front which could be removed in less than an hour. Soooooo my question is, do I leave it as is or lower the front slightly by pulling said spacer. Here's pics, all comments are welcome!

I think it looks slight nose high. I personally like a little rake, i use to have 3rd gen and noticed overtime the back always tends to sag a bit. could that have happened in your case too?

besides, a little rake gives you better vision anyways, or at least it feels like it.

Get a Shrockworks bumper:cool: Should fix that quick:biggrin2:

If not remove the spacer. Looks better when its a lil higher in the back IMO

The search for the perfect stance is very common once you start messing with suspension stuff. Your rig looks a bit nose high? But it's going to depend on who ya ask.
Me - I too dig the old school, south of the border, azz high look. I yanked my top out spacer and even added a old Revtec poly spacer that I cut down to about an 1.5in to customize the rear lift. For me it sits perfect unloaded (azz high) and even loaded (level) my light are not in the trees.

The stance:

OME HD springs and air bag to fight the sag - sits level with 300lb off the back.

My personal opinion us this, It looks great and I think it doesn't look nose high. I like the look of a bit of rake though so i would suggest pulling it for the rake look. I think it'd look great. Just my .02 cents.

Guys,

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll yank that front spacer out today then. Heck I can always put it back in later. Plus it should only make 1/2" difference and make it sit about perfect.

Javelin- come convince my other half that we should spend that on a bumper before our daughter is born in June and I'd be happy to buy the bumper. ;-)

Colemanfu- your first pic you put up is the PERFECT stance as I like a little rake too.

I've done suspension stuff a few times now so it hopefully won't take too long. Of course she'll get a photo shoot after the new stance as well.

Here's one last parting pic.

You just made this thread so you could repost pics of your 4r and have people tell you it looks good, didn't you?

I'm with a Javelin, get a bumper.

Ha! Im guessing this is your response to me telling you that you hate fun!

And no, ask Justin about how obsessed I am with my stance. Maybe I can convince her at some point to do the bumper. It won't be soon though. I just bought a new handgun and that was a tough sell. We'll see. Get back to kc for a weekend BTW.

Hahaha no actually I left a response there. We posted at the same time, I thought that reply was your response to the bumper one.

I'm actually kinda the same way, that's one of the reasons I decided to switch to adjustable COs. btw the radflo is amazing me so far!

Going to CO in the Summer, hopefully I can stop thru like last time.

Don't shoot anyone!

edit- also the 4r has kind of a tough shape to get level. My front is an inch lower than rear right now but some times it still looks front high to me.

double edit - I showed a non t4r owning friend this thread and he said sometimes it looks higher in back but most pics make it look level.

Your truck looks good to me, but it's a matter of personal taste.

Like Gaterose, mine is an inch higher in the rear, but at certain angles, it looks nose high to me as well. Also depends where you park too.

Perfect! maybe we can all grab some legendary KC BBQ this time.

See I couldnt agree more, the truck looks level and sometimes even has a factory rake look. The running boards are nose high but the body is level. Oh well.

Guess it's all a matter of personal taste, but it looks just right to me. I prefer a more balanced look ... the downhill slant on this photo might be influencing it some, but it looks good to me. Just my two cents ...

Thanks man, it does sit fairly level. I def need to take some better side shots. It may just stay how it is for now. Removing the front spacers would be harder than I originally thought, I forgot i'd have to take the springs out etc.

Maybe i could do airbags in the back. We'll see!

Thanks for the reply

It might be a tad high in the front (~0.25"). I wouldn't mess with it though. I like how it looks.

Thanks man, your vote might be what keeps it how it is. Def easier to keep it as is.

If i get time today ill go take more pics of her. It is raining here but damn the titanium metallic looks good under a cloudy sky.
