So what is your take on the on/off piggy back units like the Venom400 for instance, is it just fooling the TPS and leaning out the mix? Had a buddy run one on a vtec and swore it was like having electronic NoS.
now that, is funny. all it does is change the sensor outputs from the TPS and map sensor to the ECU, basically telling your ECU you are at WOT when you're not, thus making is seem like you have more power until you actually reach WOT and it falls on its face. just more ricer BS IMO. its just one of those automotive things where you have to think... now if it really made a "25% increase in power with no ill-effects"..... everyone that is remotely in to cars would have one. not the case.

i am very proud to be an american and support our troops, the whole nine. however, the japanese know how to do it when it comes to internal combustion items. same reason i only race honda motocross bikes and wont touch anything else. point being, im not going to touch an ecu that was designed by an amazing engineer at toyota, honda etc. yes, such things as ignition curves can be changed for the better on some stock motors but thats not the point or worth while on a car motor.
