Performance Mods for 1991 4Runner

I just became a proud 4Runner owner today! I picked up a very rusty but still reliable 91 4Runner with a 22RE Engine. I know it is a 4 Cylinder but it's very gutless! I am gonna run Seafoam through it pretty soon but is there any other mods that can really help? I am not interested in a CAI as I heard they don't work very well and the HP gains are BS. I will be willing to take any suggestions!

Get it running well and make sure you have enough gear for your tire size. Don't have an automatic.

My 22re with header and a cam is noticeably peppier than stock, but it's still a 22re.

The second gen 22re rigs are pretty heave for the engine, so gearing will be your best friend. I am running 4.10s right now and can definitely feel it. They are great rigs though. They will get you anywhere, just not fast. haha

My 91 v6 is very slow. However it's also not my daily driver and I don't care. This is my slow down and explore truck. Off road it has PLENTY of get up and go. I have 4.56 gears, 32 tires.
