Long Anticipated Updates!
Okay so I've been totally slacking on the updates, so here we go!
Installed my Cobra 19 Ultra III a while back...mounted it under the keys and ran the mic over to the left side, cause I'm a lefty. Got a mirror tube mount antenna and put it up on the basket...
And......the 1st Gen Roll bar!!
and I hit 150k!!

What good does the first gen rollbar do? Seems to me like it just takes up cargo space....

its in case u roll. its stop the roof from caving in... U dont wanna drive with an exo cage around it so u put it on the interior.

Exocages are so much cooler than the internal ones, i find the internal ones take up far to much space. Exo cages also protect body panels from damage and caving in the event of a rollover so that if it does happen the vehicle can potentially still be used.

ya i know they are more functional in that they save the body also but most ppl dont wanna do their daily driving with an exo cage on the runner.

Incase nobody did your math yet. Here it is.
33/27=1.22
so your 15mpg x 1.22=18.33
Which is the exact same that im getting with 285 bfg mt 3" suspension lift and 3" body lift

I got the roll bar for the look, and to mount my fire extinguisher/maglite/hilift to...but when we cut it down and welded it back, we found that it's legit 1/8" DOM tube...definately a legit roll bar.

Yes 18.33 mpg.
Just multiply anything by 1.22
getting 250 miles to a tank? Your really getting 305

I've seen a lot of speed/tire calculators, but I've never seen one where you can put in your gear ratio too. I went from the original P225/75R16s to 285/75R16s. But I also went from 4.11s to 4.88s. I wonder how you figure that into how many mpgs I'm actually getting. I'm getting about 16.5 based off my trip/odometer reading.
I like the lefty CB too LINY (I'm a lefty too). I'm thinking about mounting the handset where you did after seeing yours. Does the cord get in your way or bother you at all?

It's actually perfectly NOT in my way...if you look closely at the pic, I have it pulled tightly under the steering wheel and the coiled around the tilt lever a few times...I'll get a better pic today so you can see

kinda reminds me of the way i put my mic. I just let it hang from the ashtray over the steering column and it rests on the left side of the steering column... no need to mount a holder and its nvr in my way.

Regarding your mpg and speed. The mpg may be true but 15mph over I don't think is true. With my 35's I'm only of 6-7 mph over..
