Whoa, missed that part. Bryan, this is a stock top shift case off a 1985, 22RE/w56, 21 spline. Does that change the flavor of the koolaid?

Also, it's 70 pounds on my bathroom scale and that's before I build a cradle to ship it in or put it in a tote. It ain't gonna be cheap.

haha it's cool...not the first letdown of the build and won't be the last I'm sure. Back to the original plan...

Minor updates with no pictures...got the steering box solidified, steering shaft is in, column and interior is back together and the old transfer case out. Gotta figure out the clocking of the new one and get the adapter on it and zip it in- probably in the next few days...

I have the All-Pro steering kit with IFS steering box, frame plates, hardware, telescoping shaft and 2 universal joints

Panhard is gonna be interesting for sure. We decided to go with 1-ton steering to go underneath the HiSteer knuckles to make more room up top for up-travel and more space for the panhard.

Left to do:
Install T-Case with adapter and crossmember
Mock, tack, cycle, weld link mounts
Panhard
Cut and weld new steering
Driveshafts
PS lines
Brake Lines (steel lines to go to the marlin braided lines)
Bleed
Drive
Flex on something big
Repair what I just broke flexing on something big
Drive some more
Change some things I didn't like
Drive some more
Wheel
Decide I want IFS
Cut it all out and weld the old stuff back in


lol okay so maybe those last two are a joke...

I wish I had more free time like [MENTION=56044]downpour11[/MENTION]...

Transfer case is finally in but still not permanently because I'm STILL waiting on the top shift kit from inchworm...this is starting to get ridiculous now...
But the adapter is clocked and drilled and bolted and installed along with the case and the FROR crossmember. Now Dan can get the link mounts in and do some cycling of the suspension and such. 1-ton steering kit is on order. Need the exhaust done because right now it's open at the crossover pipe. Gonna go 2.25" stainless tube from there back, no cats (spark plug non-fouler mod so no P0420), to the good ol' Borla XR-1 that we all know and love. Power steering lines have been sent out and should be back in a few days.

Hmm what else...

Got a wheeling trip coming up in two weeks but I doubt she'll be ready for it...so I'll be designated spotter/filmmaker for that one. Another trip mid-October that I should have my truck for so we'll have to wait till then for action shots.

I think that's all the news I have...

I did have all the parts I thought I needed, but transfer case plans changed :crybaby:

Link mounts are burned to the frame! Wahoooo

Now the links can get mocked up, cycled and welded.

Got my commission check a week early so I ordered the 1-ton steering today.

Still no pics because he's been working without me lately...soon...
