Simple, takes up less space, don't have to run air bumps ($400+) or a stabilizer bar, 7 adjustment settings. I can run a little nitrous tank and adjust a couple clicks to adjust stiffness. So when I hit the trail I just turn them down and they get really soft to my liking, then when I hit the highway to go home I just turn the setting back up to make them stiffer. They come out to around the same price as a coilover setup before air bumps and a stabilizer. Less tweaking and dialing in than a coilover setup too.
Interesting...
You've seen the BAMF build right?

I don't frequent Pirate much...bunch of childish, internet-hero, keyboard-warriors over there...I'll check this one out though...
Yup I agree. He's over on TacomaWorld mostly, he has a build there too.
Awesome build...a bit overkill in some areas coughreardifftrusscough but pretty cool truck
Anyone care to speculate what the fawk All Pro was thinking when they designed this kit?

wondering to myself if they tried to install this on a vehicle before marketing it...
not the greatest picture but on the left you see the steering box, on the right is the strut tower, somewhere in the middle is supposed to be a steering shaft, but I'm not sure how that's supposed to work without hacking up the strut tower...beyond furious with these guys at this point.
That sucks man! The design of those towers is weiiird. You might think about getting some tubing bent for some shock towers instead.
Something like this (these are a little tall because he's running 14's):

Yeah it's different, I kinda liked it different...I dunno I emailed All Pro AGAIN and we'll see what they say...out:
I have seen the all pro kit installed and know it fits. Something is weird, i know that steering shaft goes up from the steering box at descent angle, and inward some. and that is maybe how it clears. All you need is enough room to clear that little steering joint. perhaps the towers are too far forward/ or your steering box is too far backwards all though i think the frame plates determine where that is. Good luck. Im sure all pro will take care of ya.
Edit: here is a pic from my friend's truck. Look how far back that coilover tower is/ oh far forward the ifs steering box is. and it points up. Yours is WAY to close. Your probably going to get a pic of this same truck from all pro.

what downpour said! i would just go with the standard tube style and move everything outside of the frame. well most of it anyway cuz you still have the supports to weld topside. you can always shorten it if they're too tall.

i was gonna run the same style of upper mount like yours because they seem alot more durable than the bent hoops but i wasn't exactly sure about clearance issues and didn't wanna waste time and money if i wasn't 100% sure it would work. sucks you had to run into that problem.
may not want to run coilovers off something like that. The all pro ones work. something is just off. Im thinking the steering box is too far back, not angled up, and the actual coil over mount is too far forward. Its probably just a compound issue and 1 inch every where will fix it.
What would be the issue with coilovers on a tube setup like this?
