photo uploading sticky?

Hello. I'm relatively new and having a hard time getting photos to post. Is there a sticky or thread that covers this?

I've tried uploading from my computer to Imgur and using the "add image" tab and that never works, even if photo is less than 137k.

If I attach the photo to the thread sometimes it's upside down, sometimes it isn't. Any suggestions?
