Photoshop anyone? Wheel image needed.

I have never used or attempted photoshop stuff. I googled and searched this forum, I want to get a different wheel for my truck. I have the super common wheels with the gaudy "8" center caps. Picture will show them, I want something a bit different.

Not Photoshop quality since I'm too dumb to know how to use Photoshop — but I'm sorta handy with some sketchy iPhone apps.

 
The wheels you have now are easily 3x better looking than the two you're considering ... that's a scientific fact too!
 
Lol, well thanks for the chop man.

Far as Cali looks or whatever, I don't live there. Whatever a bro truck is, my truck is more poser then anything already. I don't wheel it hard, it's mostly a mall crawler and I like the beadlock appearance. Real beadlocks are a nightmare and I hate them. I managed to keep them for my quads, because I don't commute or rely on their air pressure daily.

I just need something different for my own preference.

Have you looked at the SCS Stealth 6s? Pretty similar looking and you can choose from a few finishes.

Kinda funny I just remembered those. I was responding to a PM then going to contact him. I wanted those initially, but they were on backorder. I'm an impatient prick, so I didn't want to wait the 3 weeks for him to get them back.

I have kind of a reputation for never being happy with rims on my toys. Should have known it wouldn't stop at one set with this truck either.

I buy new rims a lot too! I get it! PM Vin he is a stand up guy and a great vendor on here. Awesome wheels.

Wtf is this bro wheel thing? Lol I'm in my 20s and never heard of it. My truck is a princess mostly, so don't assume I'm not a bro then :)

I'll be getting the scs sr8 wheel or sc8. Whatever it's called. Already got mine sold. Just want a change.

Cool, did Aeroneer pick them up? I did some photoshop work with the SR8's on my 4Runner awhile back... I'll try to find it. We're pretty similar.

99Runnr Ya like what you like. I get it. But these guys are trying to look out for you. If you are going to spend good money on some different wheels, get something good. Those SCS SR8's are pretty sweet and a lot more original than anything that has "XD" on it. Good choice man!

Bro wheels: for guys that might like a lot more Bedazzle action on the back of their jeans. Comes with optional tramp stamp tattoo.

Haha gotcha. I am tattooed but no tramp stamp action. I know in itself xd wheels aren't unique. I see the cliche with the jeeps and such who get them at les schwab. I was looking beyond that at them on a 4runner.

The scs stuff should work nicely as well.

Thanks for the pics Alex. I'll try and get something for you lol. It's at my house in Rochester where we have been prepping my new longblock also. My cummins in there with the car and trailer to take it down south on Friday.

Gotta get my longblock swapped, the lexus finished, the foxbody back up and running (hasn't ran in over a year), and in giving myself until may 1st. Lots of racing and some track days at the Ridge planned this year.

Yeah, he is also going to grab these wheels once the new stuff is here an mounted up.
 
Keep your current wheels or go with anything but those XD wheels IMO.

A bro truck is typically quantified by the following:

Driven by a kid who lives off of Daddy's money
New to late model American full size truck, sometimes a dually, commonly a diesel
Has a 6" lift in the front and nothing in the back for that good saggy ass look
HID's in Reflector Housings
Obnoxious Exhaust
Large Oakley sticker across the back window
Generally good at nothing but annoying the general public.

I see how these all fall into the same groups as calling something "ricer" or saying someone is a "hater". I hate that shit personally. Coming from primarily cars, anything else I build, is for me. These phrases can be applied equally it seems.

I use to get called "ricer" in my foxbody mustang because it's on forged 3-pc 18" rims. Then you go to the track and cut 1.6x 60' times with a 6-speed manual and people shut up. Kinda the same deal here. I modify for myself, I don't have car clubs or clicks I participate in, so XD wheels or whatever else.. all the same to ME. The guy who is paying for it. Thankfully I don't see too much of this other crap in my area to let it affect me.

The XD stuff looked good enough to get that popular, so just because other people ruin the reputation, doesn't mean I'll continue the stigma. With that said, I prefer the looks of the SCS wheels, long as I can get them, I'll be using those. Otherwise, either wheel goes on a truck that does see dirt sometimes, has no stickers, no jersey shore pants, and a guy who doesn't give a shit so long as they serve a practical function :)
 
Well shit, I haven't personally been responded to by Vin yet, but it looks as though I won't be ordering these.

Did some digging and checking on other forums, the next shipment is late April and all the sets are spoken for it appears. Then the next after that is late May. I'm not waiting 2 months for wheels, just like I wouldn't wait 2+ months for bumpers. :flipoff:

Search goes on..

Anyone else have some other suggestions? Not concerned with cost, just availability.
