PIC REQUEST: 5th Gen w/ Third Row Seats

Hey guys,

I just got my 4Runner back from the dealer after getting aftermarket leather installed. I just noticed that there is a large gap (approx. 1"+) in the second row seats between the fold down split- I don't recall the gap being that large. Can someone with the third row seating option snap some photos of their second row seats?

I know I could just take it back to the dealer, but I want to make sure that this is not a normal issue before I drive all the way there.

Thanks!

EDIT: Here's some pics of what I'm talking about. The gap in question is the second row seats, between the separate driver's side/passenger sides.

Not sure where you are talking about. Take a pic of it and I will compare it to mine.

I'm traveling for work, not back until Wednesday but if you send a pic I can try and tell if there is a difference.

I've only opened up the third row a couple of times but from what I remember it is two separate seats vs a bench type seat.

Updated w/ pics.

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the second row bench seats, not the third row seats. The only reason I mentioned the third row option is because the second row seats differ between models with the third row and without.

Thanks guys, I suspected that there was an issue but just wanted to make sure before I made the trip back to the dealer 30 miles away.

Is the seat behind driver side moved up a little. In the last picture it looks like the seat is moved forward some. Make sure the seats are even or pushed all the way back.

This might be a dumb comment but you know you can slide the second row fore and aft right? Did you try that? It looks like that's all it is. The lever is underneath the seat if you we're to be sitting down on the seat.

Yeah, I know the seats move forward and back, same with the seat back adjustment. I tried making them perfectly even, gap is still there.

I looked a little closer, the middle section (where the center armrest is located) looks like its also somewhat skewed.

If someone can still post some pictures up of their seats, please help me out so I can show the dealer in case they try to tell me its "normal".

Thanks!

wow! mine fit pretty tight together.... I agree the center section looks crooked
I thought a fold down split section on my T4R fits tight but it's not. It's tight between a left side seat but there is a gap towards a right side seat. And I believe there is a reason for a gap...right seat slides back and force to allow an easy access to 3rd row. In my case you can see a gap from behind only, from inside gap is almost invisible because of a padding on my leather seats.
I'll take another picture from inside a little bit later so you can see how a factory leather trim is done.

Thanks for the pics. It looks like you have about the same gap that I do. Interestingly, I found some pics on google last night and the gap is minimal on some cars.

Here's couple pics from the inside - camera was located between front seats. You can see when a cup holder is up, gap is completely hidden.

Not dumb, but I think I am. I didn't know that. I knew they reclined but not that they moved back and forth? I have to check it out. Is it like the steel rod for the front seats non power that you just lift up on?
