I really tried to just get happy with it but couldn't escape noticing the lean. It's very noticeable; front right sits lower than the left. So I took it back to the dealer for the second time in a week since buying it and they're going to open a ticket with Toyota on Tuesday. They have not done the calibration and are denying that there even is a calibration for the KDSS.
My service adviser said something else that really made no sense; he said the KDSS is only on the driver's side. Seriously? Is this true?

I have not heard of KDSS "calibration." There is nothing to calibrate that I know of. The KDSS cylinder is on the left side but its force acts on the whole swaybar. You really need to google KDSS and understand it befor blaming or being worried about it.
Did you check your lean with a full tank of gas or almost empty? It will change the distance.

I think they call it "Vehicle tilt calibration" or "KDSS tilt calibration" and it involves opening valves to a certain point and bouncing the vehicle until it's level...
OP- If your local Toyota can't do it, take it to a Lexus dealer and see if they can.

Just get a small spacer for the rear. It'll even it out.

Okay, I knew KDSS balance but not calibration. Good call!
For the rear? Toytec has the front spacer and they said it'll fix the lean, but I want to make sure I get the right one. It's the front right that sits low, but I'm not a suspension guy.
The dealer still claims ignorance about KDSS and the cal procedure. They opened a ticket with Toyota of America who said it's right at being within the spec for allowed lean, so they won't instruct the dealer to take action.
I'm getting super frustrated though because left turns REALLY lean to the right since it's already leaning that way when sitting. It's not as tough it's going to run the ground or anything, but it's just not right! Not for a brand new truck! I wish I could ignore it, but the lean is too much to ignore.
I've got a Lexus dealership nearby. Would they honor the Toyota warranty or is this a cash thing with them?

I had just assumed you were talking about the rear as most have this natural issue. I threw a spacer on my rear driver side and it evened it out for the most part. I know that you'll see some effect at the diagonal when adjusting suspension. Say if you crank on the front right coil over, you'll see it effect the rear left corner height as well. Do you have a lift?
No lift. Have only owned it two and a half weeks. I'm terrified to modify it in case Toyota sends an FST out to see it, but since the ticket was closed as "leans within spec" it doesn't sound like that's a possibility.
Was it a Toytec spacer? I think I only saw single front spacers on their site.
By the way, THANK YOU to everyone contributing to this thread. You are providing more of a sense of support than Toyota is with this.

It's nothing to worry about other than it will get on your nerves. The rear spacer I used is from Daystar. Not sure if I'm going to leave it in when I do my rear suspension revamp next week.

Chances are the Lexus dealer will not honour the warranty as they act as two separate entities a lot of times; which means you may have to pay out of pocket for the service. Unfortunately since the TAS case was closed as "Normal" it may be harder to get Toyota and the dealership to do anything let alone acknowledge it as a warranty issue.

I don't know if this means anything. Look at the production date sticker. Is it current production, or has it been sitting on the lot for months? Meaning, others did not like the lean, or something else about it.
Every time I take delivery of new car or truck, make sure it is daylight, and look over everything, especially hood, fender, line up. If the dealer wants to sell me something that has been on his, or another dealers lot for months or even weeks, no way. Dealers usual comment: "Cannot duplicate the problem".

A little update on my lean....
Toyota sent a Field Service Tech out who also stated that it's leaning within spec.
I put up with the lean until last Saturday when two passengers made it feel like I was about to drag my right fender on the ground. Called the dealer and they're willing to take it back on trade for a Limited at nearly a key swap price. I think I'm going to do it.

Not trying to start anything but no way it's that bad on turns. I've had mine loaded with gear for wheeling and took some tight turns on back roads and the Runner stayed nice and level through out. The lean sucks but it has never been an issue while driving and have not really seen anyone else have an issue with cornering. Think your just letting it get to you to much. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with the deal if you swap for the limited.
