Picked up my new 4runner

Picked up an 06 v8 limited today! It's my first 4runner and I'm coming off a lifted ford 6.0 diesel
I'm thinking I'm gonna pull the trigger soon on the toytec 3" ultimate lift with blistein shocks and LR uca's and the 1" body lift. Does anybody have any feedback on this setup or is there anything I'm wasting money on? Wanting to run 285-305 tires

Congratulations on your T4R purchase! I also have a 2006 Limited and love everything about it. That would be a good choice for a lift option and wish I went that route instead of using the Rough Country 3/2 lift. Good luck with your future modifications and enjoy your T4R!

Depends what you wanna do with it. If your just driven street that should be fin e. if your going to start wheeling it you should look into some heavier duty parts then that. Read the Suspension options sticky. Oh and post some pictures or it didnt happen

I'm not too proud to admit a lift for me will be 90% cosmetics and any wheeling I do would be within the capacity of a stock (i.e. Forest roads and such)

Your future adventures could take you places more lift is needed! Therefor it's justified! I don't need a lift either, but the 2-3 times I go out west each year meant I did some mods. Do iiiiiiit :reddance:

You could always save a few hundred bucks and go with the standard Bilstein 5100 kit. Same shocks as the Toytec Ultimate kit. It depends on if you want to spend a few hundred just to be able to fine-tune the amount of lift without having to disassemble the front suspension.

Or spend a few hundred more than the Ultimate lift kit and get the stage one kit from Icon.

I want to do everything right the first time and not cut corners at first then wish I hadn't
My dad is an engineer so I grew up learning if it's worth doing it's worth overdoing
I don't need anything top of the line for moab level nor mud bogging
At most some snow wheeling in northern Maine and exploring back roads with some camping in summer
