Picking up my new 4runner on Friday

On Friday I get to pickup my new 2012 4runner limited in blue. We have been waiting about a month and a half for the vehicle to arrive. My original preference was to get the TE, but after the wife wanted AWD and a third row we decided to get the limited and then I would just make changes to suit my needs.

Here are going to be my mods after doing some research:

Rim Swap for 17" rims debating black or FJ rims with 275/70R17 or 265/70R17 BFG AT tires
(Hope it is easy to offload the 20" rims since the dealer won't give me a credit)

Toytec Spacers up front

Airlift Airbags in the rear

Rocky Road Super Sliders

Rear Locker next year so still have some research to do.

Debating body mods to improve approach and departure.

It will be sad to say goodbye to my 2006 Tacoma, but it has been a great truck with no problems that took me everywhere.

Congrats, I have 1200 miles on my 12 LE in Shoreline blue love that color too, the Toyota website does not do it justice.
Loving mine so far

Awesome choice on the color! And thank you for opting for the LE, too. I'm shopping for a Shoreline Blue TE, and there aren't many of them to go around. :)
 
Awesome smilycook! Congrats! It looks like we have a lot in common on where we are going with our T4R's...

Got my LE grey with third row almost a month ago now.

Next day after delivery I put on 17" TRD wheels with 275/70/17's Cooper AT'3's. (Sold the 20" wheels with tires and spare for $1300 on Craigslist. At least I got something out of them I guess.)

Sound System - Totally redone with all JL Audio first week. MUCH better.

My Rocky Road Supersliders will be here tomorrow.

Suspension - As for suspension mods right now... I really like the XREAS handling on the LE and am not sure if I want to change anything there unless I do a full lift. I would like to level things out, but I am not convinced that doing a lift is going to make my all around ride better than what the current XREAS provides for what I primarily use the vehicle for. This is a daily driver. The LE will see an over all fairly small percentage of off road work. Sure I want it off road capable, but just not sure where if anywhere to go here yet. (Opinions and recommendations always appreciated here...)

Locker - I have an ARB Air on my old 94 Toy PU that has been bomber. I will probably be going that route again. It's there when you need it.

Rack - Just ordered Gobi Stealth with Rigid LED's

Body/Bumpers - Again, not sure where if anywhere I am going here. Have an ARB front bumper/warn on the 94 Toy PU that I love, but not overly impressed with the ARB for the 5th Gen T4R. Probably Stealthworks here if anything. But then you are talking a lot of weight that needs to be carried and pushed... not top priority for me.

So that's kind of where I've been, and going... this forum has been invaluable in my research. Folks have been super helpful. And we are all looking forward to seeing what you do and pics of yours smilycook! Your gonna love it.

I would be happy with getting $1300 for them on craigslist.
