Finally decided on tires! I'm VERY happy with them. They are more aggressive than I was expecting which is good for what I wanted. I'm glad I didn't go with a mud tire for now. Sorry for the crappy pics, bad lighting, and dirty 4runner...Lift is coming next!

By the way, they have a 50k miles warrantee, just a touch louder than my previous street tires, no rubbing at all, and 6 ply which I like....and they were $650 out the door.

Looks great man, can't wait to check them out in person!!! I really like those, makes me wonder how they'll compare to the Hankooks. Maybe we'll get a chance to take them out together sometime. Hollar at me when you get ready on that lift, we'll get it done!

Thanks. I can't wait to take them down to my cabin. There's a pretty good mud hole or two I'll have to hit while I'm there. They are prolly a touch louder than yours and will be a bit stiffer due to the 6 ply. But I honestly don't feel the "bottoming out" like I did with the 4 plies. You can ride down to my cabin w/ me and see if you want to take your ride down the trail. Maybe tomorrow when you get off work.
I think I have some FJ springs located, just waiting to hear back.

And on a pet peave note i see the put the weights on the outer lip :redbrick::redbrick::redbrick: when are shops going to start treating an alloy wheel right here in arkansas? i absolutly cant stand that and i have to damn near do it myself when i get tires done around here for this very reason :rockthrow: HATE IT

Just 4 I'll take my chances if I ever have a flat. I've always had weights on the ouside, how else can they do it? They sure are balanced well, smooth as slik. I'll update once I have them in the mud. Don't forget they have a 50k mile warrantee and they're 6 ply which is not common.

I may be able to do that, I'll give you a call sometime tomorrow. I've seen some balanced without weights on the outer lip, but mine always seem to have/need them. It's hard to find a good mud tire that carries a 50k mile warranty. The Mastercrafts aren't a true "mud" tire, but for an A/T they look very close. It'll be interesting to see how they do.

Bought them from a local tire shop. Cooper makes them and most shops should be able to order them for a similar price.

These things look great, really impressed! Pics just don't do them justice. They look great and perform very well. I was surprised, there's not much difference between these in a LT versus the P rated tires I have on my 4runner. Great tires and a good deal, much better than some of the competitors as far as bang for the buck.

stick on weights like with nice wheels on cars. there are a few different ways to balance statically and dynamically that i know of. i dont mind on the inside lip but these weights were simply not designed for an allow wheel they were ment for steelies alloys ae just too soft and will mare destroy your lips like curbing it. for most may not be a big deal as alot of cars will see what 3-4 sets before trashed or destroyed anyway for the normal person. yes lipped is going to give you the best balance with the least amount of weight added and less of a chance to come off. being that the stick on weight is farther in on the hoop of your rim you may need extra weight to make up fo the difference in mounting spots. really your choice but lets say you got your wheelspowdercoated or painted black do you really want this hideouse weight hangin out like a sore thumb or tearing up the paint/coating when you need to rebalance you at's/mt's at 10k miles?

i like my stuff a certain way an i know it can be done

Good info, thanks. I'll have a few more pics in a new thread in a little bit. Got the tires in the mud today and was shocked they did as well as they did. Still not a mud tire, but for a a/t they are great.

how have those mastercrafts worked out for you?? i dont have a four runner, i got a 2002 ranger and i been thinking about putting them on my truck.. how is the wear factor on them so far?

I have the mastercrafts as well, looking to get rid of them. Most mastercrafts I know belong on the lake. Just sayin.

Just had mine in snow, they did great in snow, have probably 15k left in them, just a guess. But may get rid of sooner for some 265/70's

Little loud once they get wore out, honestly not a bad tire, just dont like my "Mastercraft" white letters letting everyone know im driving on bass boats.. lol
