Thanks for the tip! I hadn't realized that too much in both ways can be bad and the emphasis on it being more of a 34" tire rather than 33" makes more sense now too. Sorry for all the ?'s, but how has the upsizing of the tires affected the trucks power output? Going from 30.6" stock to 33.6" is a pretty big difference, and was wondering how the V6 and stock gearing handle it.

It noticably affects it. It's not bad but you can feel them there. My tires are pretty heavy.

There is definitly a weight difference. I dont know what the stock wheels and tires weighed but the tires weigh 66 lbs. each. I would guess the rims weigh a little more than the OE rims, because the new ones are 18's. You can tell a difference in acceleration and braking, but its not that bad. As far as the noise, these are the quietest mud terrain I have ever heard. Toyo makes an excellent tire.

Could you !PLEASE! help me here?

I finally got my lift installed so i could put the new wheels and tires on. I have never posted pics of my rig so here is everything that is installed. Its a 3/1.5 Toytec spacer lift, with 275/70/18 Toyo Mud Terrains (33.6x11), and 18x8.5 KMC XD Series Spy Wheels. I have the front windows tinted 20% and the windshield tinted to 50%. The pic is not very good of the HID's but they are 6000k and are a light blue color. The tail lights are tinted, running boards removed, and Toyota was shaved off the back. I also replaced the chrome grille with the limited one. The exhaust is a custom dual system with a magnaflow muffler.

I still have not installed the Toyota skid plate, I am waiting for it to get powder coated. I am also getting a black powdercoated billet grille. As well as all emblems and the headlights blacked out.

Do you think that I can use 275/70/18 BFG A/T or Duratrac using my stock wheels without having to instal spacers? Would I have to do any mayor trimming? I'll really appreciate your input on this. you should be able to, the only thing i can think you would have to do is push the front finder liner forward and remove the mud flap.

I have a Limited 2007 4Runner, X-Reas system that I want to keep. I lift it 2.5" at the front and 1.5 at the back. I don't think I'll like to use spacer on the wheels. Do you think that using the stock wheels (18) I'll be able to fit a 275/70/18 Duratrac? Would it touch any metal? How much trimming? Thanks in advance! I hope you'll get this message! I have a 2007 4Runner Limited. I lifted 2.5 at the front and 1.5 at the back. I want to keep the stock wheel (18) and also the X-Reas that comes with it. Do you think that I can fit a 275/70/18 Duratrack without having to use any spacer on the wheels? I'll appreciate your recommendation. Your truck looks so nice!

18" Spy Wheels

Your 4runner is awesome!

I have an 06 4runner and just purchased 18x9 XD Spy Wheels, with 285/60/18 Nitto Terra's and was told by the guy at Discount that I should be able to fit these no problem.

After putting them on, and leaving the dealer, I realized that I couldn't turn the wheel right or left, at a dead stop.

Their solution was to suggest that I order a different tire, which I don't want to do, or cut out the wheel wells and mud guards, which I didn't want to do.

So I guess I need a lift...

Based on the tire size and wheel size, do you know what kind of a lift I'd need?
