I agree! If anything, the hardware should be more centered on the bracket. Now all the weight of the basket adds to the leverage on the bracket with the hardware being more in-words to the bend. I would use 2 bolts per bracket and space them a little better.

1st Gen meets Frontrunner slimline

Been meaning to post this for a while now, sorry took so long.
I customized the Frontrunner aluminum slimline 1 to fit the width of the fiberglass top better (44" instead of 48" width).
Then designed the custom brackets for a local welder to fabricate. Brackets bolt through the top and meet up with interior steel plates. In essence the two plates sandwich the fiberglass top, which spreads the load to the surrounding area, not just leaving the bolt hole to take all the pressure.

This is one of my favorite mods to date.

Designing rear bumper as we speak here. Planning to have my same welder fabricate for me.
