Picture of the seat mounts with seat removed

Has anyone removed their drivers seat and have a picture of how it mounts? I need some more leg room and have considered fabricating some custom mounts but I want to get an idea first of what it would take

... and am asking here because i am too lazy to remove the seat just to look at how it mounts

to be fair, I'm inside the not tall spectrum and I have the seat most of the way back. If my wife drives it I can't even get into the drivers seat without bashing my knees.

Im only 6'3"

It's not an issue in normal daily driving, but if I'm on a long road trip or stuck in bad traffic my right leg really bothers me when I get out from keeping it bent at a weird angle. On road trips I have to stop every couple hours and walk around or my leg will bother me enough that walking isn't fun.

There was a post here from someone who found a company that does vehicle mods for NBA players who was going to let them move their seat but I can't find it again.

Know the feeling (long trips) but I'm saved by my blatter !!! I always move it back & forth & adjust lumbar but ya leg goes to sleep +bad sciatica, I use a neck pad for lower back too !

I too would be interested in finding out what it would take to move the seat rails back slightly. I'm 6'6" and while the legroom is certainly more generous than the car I came from ('10 Santa Fe), I could use another 1-2" to be perfect.

I imagine it would throw a wrench in the 2nd row floor mats ever fitting right again and all but eliminate the legroom behind the driver...but everything comes with a cost. I'd also be a little concerned with the steering wheel being too far away even when fully telescoped out

in Wisconsin 5ft 2 in that would be little people .. 6ft 3 in that is normal height.

also it depends on AZZ side small azz then seat will be full forward ... LOL...

Thanks to the OP for this thread, I was eventually going to ask about some possible way to lower the seat more. I'm also 6'4" but Im torso heavy so my legs are fine but I would like to find a way to lower the seat maybe a full inch or 1.5.

Now we're talking. I want to lower my seat about an inch. My head does the "light touch" every so often on the roof. I'm 6'4 and I doubt the Japanese thought of me when designing the drivers seat. Oh, and forget about wearing a hat :lmao:
