Pink Milkshake??

hey guys I have a 98 and a little bit ago I had filled the coolant fluid up with distilled water. just a day ago I saw smoke under the engine Bay and where I put water now was pink!! is this what I think it is? I also do smell coolant or something sometimes inside of my 4runner when driving. the temperature is at half like normal

Did you do a coolant swap or just add some? distilled water is not the cause of any pink milkshake but if your radiator is no longer filler with clear water or any radiator fluid color then dont drive anymore and either start flushing yourself or have it towed to a shop and have them flush it all.

not sure why your smelling fluid maybe you over filled? do you have a reservoir?

is it just pink, or pink and thick like a milkshake?
Could it have been you were so low on water that and the original coolant was Toyota red, and you now have it all mixed ?
Pull your trans dipstick, whats it look like, pink milkshake, high on the marks ?

If you have any milkshake anyplace, quit driving asap, and fix it asap
you might be able to save the tranny if you get on it fast ( repairs and flush flush flush)

Drain the rad and see if you have pink goo come out. I just went through this 2 months ago.

Smell inside could be heater core
