Planing to tow my 1999 4runner 4cyl to Mexico

I am planning to take my family of 5 people with carrying a luggage and tow a hitch with 3000 lb not including the passengers and luggage to Torreon Mexico. My fisrt stop is El Paso, Tx and Second Stop is Jimenez, chihuahua, Mexico and Final Destination is to torreon, Mexico. can the 4runner can able to handle it.
Is this 4runner 4cyl 2.7l
