Planning to buy a V6 4Runner

I have a question aim planning to buy a 99 4Runner v6 my question is this truck can go faster on the hills because my 4cyl slows down the speed on the hill or v6 has a good improvement. I need an opinion or suggestion about your 4Runner experiences. Is a 3400 FOUR CAM 24 engine.

The 3.4L has plenty of power compared to the 4 banger. I tow a small camper & atv's with my tacoma and 4runner, both 3.4L 4x4's, and they perform well. You wont regret it!
