plate lights?

My plate lights are out, there is no fuse labeled as such, should I go straight for the bulb or is there some relay that could be bad?

How do I access the bulbs for the plate lights? I opened up the tailgate from the inside but I really don't know what I'm looking at, it all looked like parts for the electric back window.

its a 93 3.0.

I would at least look at the bulbs, often when they burn out the glass turns dark or has a burn spot on the side. or when you shake them the filliment will seperate.You get to them (at least on mine) by a phillips screwdriver on the outside of the tailgate, just about the plate. but plate lights going out isn't uncommon on any car.

check your bulbs first its a wagner 194 light bulb cheap and easy fix
