Hello, I have 2014 sr5 17in wheels installed on my 2002 3rd gen, ive been holding off on attempting the tundra brake upgrade for a little bit waiting for the time to free up for me to tinker. Ive scoured and scoured the search feature and I cannot find anyone who has posted if the 231 rotors and associated calipers will fit my wheels. (The 17in 2014 4runner snowflake style ones).
I just got tasked to deploy in 3 weeks and I need to upgrade the brakes asap because im leaving my truck for my wife to drive in las vegas while im overseas. Im not comfortable with her dailying in highway traffic with our infant with the worn brakes condition the truck currently is in.
I bought the larger wheels in hopes that the tundra brakes would be a sure fit, but i havnt seen anyone post evidence of a direct bolt on clearance with these wheels. I refuse to get spacers as well.
In short, im in a hurry and need to know if anyone out there has used these wheels for the upgrade without spacers to clear the brakes.
Please help if you got the info.
