Please help with my tailgate, pics included

Hi guys,
My first post here and I am hoping i can get the help I need. I just bought a 95 4Runner and the tailgate is rusted. I got a new one from a salvage yard that needs to be painted. I have it all ready to go except for one problem..... removing the old lock on the tailgate.

There was no key with the new tailgate and I want to take the old one out and put in the new one, I can not figure out how to remove the old one. In the pic i have already removed the e-clip and washer that was there.

I have a photo of it below, thanks for the help.

Just slide that u-clip out, that's all that's holding it in.

^^ Exactly what he said. Tap it out with a flathead and small hammer if you can get one in there
