Plug 3x3 led into rear 12v outlet

So I'm going to be buying a 30" led lightbar to go behind the lower grill in my 07, and I was thinking about also getting a led 3x3(flood). Instead of hardwiring it, I was just going to put a cigarette lighter plug and a length of wire onto the end of it, that way I could plug it into the 12v outlet in the hatch area and use a suction cup to basically put it wherever I need light. Has anybody else done this? Will the rear 12v outlet be able to power it?

Your truck's owners manual will tell you the maximum current for the outlet, and the light bar manual should tell you how much current it requires.
