Plug and Play Rear Camera Override Dongle

My install went off without any issues. Rear camera still works as normal.
Depress the AOB Rear camera switch when in any gear, camera comes on.
AOB Switch dims properly just as the other switches do.

So, I know it didn't happen unless you have pics, right [MENTION=81322]barryhiram[/MENTION]?

EDITED to reflect polarity when wiring switch so the Camera Indication on the AOB Switch is not lit when the AOB Switch is not depressed and rear camera is not in operation.

I have wired both ways.. Part of me likes that the light for the camera is on constantly, as it helps to quickly find it at a quick glance. I have also been switching back and forth from Blue/Blue to Green/Red, as I like the green camera icon lit the entire time. It stands out... not sure what to do... decisions..decisions..

You could always replace blue camera LED with a green LED............best of both!

I have been thinking about this. I have to ask/suggest/poke... I would want to set up front and passenger side aux cameras, have you considered a 3 or 4 position selector pot?

Thanks! Yes I am working on a few other options/items. 4-5 input source selecting is at the top of my list.

The switch connects them to each other - doesn't matter which is which.

I read this entire thread with excitement! Awesome product. I am currently stationed overseas and have an APO. I went to order, but unfortunately APO is not an option Will this change soon?

Hey I have never shipped to an APO before but I will do so happily. I found the following directions online showing how to ship to APO and it seems like it should work. If not, you can order and just put any address and just leave me a not with the actual address and I will be sure it gets to you.


When completing your Shipping Address using Paypal, please make note of the following:

Enter Full Name of Addressee. Remember mail addressed to 'Any Service member' or similar wording such as 'Any Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine', 'Military Mail', etc., is prohibited. Mail must be addressed to an individual or job title, such as 'Commander', 'Commanding Officer', etc.

Go to State next. Find Country or State of Addressee.

Enter Street Address or Post Office Box Number

The City must be entered as either "APO" or "FPO". Do not put the name of actual City.

Install is done. I stole power from the hvac control plug for my switch. And placed the camera button to the right of my steering column.

Would take pics but still torn apart due to wiring my light bar w/ 2 AOB switches and doing the rear locker mod.

Absolutely. Inquire for anything other than a 4Runner.

The connections are the same in the entunes but the wiring location can vary. If you are not buying for a 4Runner then just let me know which vehicle you will install in and I will let you know if it works.

Shocked that you're from Austin....Do you wear 10 gallon tinfoil hat? I find it useful when towing to ensure the load is secure/bike racks not coming loose/vehicle recovery. I'm sure others use it for different things. I guess car speakers are just a ploy by the government to brainwash us into buying shampoo through subliminal messaging too huh?
