PN for Black Pearl badges/emblems?

I am looking for the part numbers for black pearl badges for a 3rd gen. Grille, rear gate, rear "TOYOTA", rear "4WD", rear "SR5", and rear "4Runner."
Anyone have any insight on this subject or where I could look?

i too am interested in this, a long time ago when i checked at the stealership, for all of them it was like $200-$300. but then just recently when i checked, the noob had no idea what i was talking about and didn't have them in his system. but yeah im interested too. this is the only thing that i could find, i think they are aftermarket?? and i don't know if it comes with everything

Dang, 200-300 for blacksand badges? That's high! Why are they so much?...I would just like to know, because I have some on my 4runner :D

Ooh, so I got me some collectors items. These emblems were part of what drew me to this truck. Those and the "TRD Supercharged" emblem. :biggrin2:
 
i went with the black pearl option when i bought my truck. it came with chrome badges originally and there were 2 options, the gold package, or the black pearl package. I went with the black pearl which looks nice against the color of my truck, thunder cloud metallic.

yeah i would reccomend going to a junk yard to find some off of a wrecked 4runner i've tried to find some in the junk yards all over where im at but i cant even find a yard that has a toyota in it. only thing they have are these things called jeeps??? and all these other american cars :shrug: dont know why that is? If im ever near that same dealership where i got it last time ill try to get a PN that is if they still exsist!??

Well I guess I'll start looking around for regular chrome ones at the wrecking yard. Maybe I'll get lucky and run across some black pearl ones
 
I looked for them in my company's system (we build software for body shops) and I could only find the chrome and gold emblem P/Ns. No black pearl. :(
 
Anybody think powder coating would be a good idea? I don't know if anyone's done it before, but I was just thinking it might work...

you know what might look good, i was thinking painting the grill in a flat black rather than the gloss black that it is now then you can paint your emblems gloss black or something like that???
Oh and yeah i think there are a couple of guys here that have painted their emblems at least in a flat black. I think it looks good on the lighter colored T4R's
black pearl is just awesome though i wish i could have some. I was gonna do the job this weekend and today i went to 3 different hobby shops to look for the paint but i just cant find the black peal paint. dahh!

Would powder coating work? Don't they have to put them in the oven to powder coat them? I'm pretty sure the 3rd gen emblems are plastic and I would assume they would melt or warp. Plus a little expensive since the spray paint option is cheap and easy.
Try the plasti-dip option too. I did it and it came out pretty good. Plus if you don't like it you can just peel the plasti-dip off.

I lucked up 4yrs ago and purchased the BP emblem kit from the dealer. Got the "friend discount" during an inventory cleaning so it cost me less than nothing. However, the kit brand new was ridiculously expensive. IIRC, for 7 emblems, it was pushing $400. I distinctly remember the front Toyota logo emblem retailing for $90. Ouch! A year later after I bought the BP emblem kit, Toyota discontinued it and were only selling 3-4 of the individual emblems. Now, like others have said, I believe they have discontinued all of BP emblems altogether.
 

Use fishing line and a hair dryer to remove. The primer and paint. And goo-gone the excess adhesive.

Then use some double sided molding tape to put em back on.
