Popping noise after lift

Just put 285s on my ride. New control arms upper and lower. New everything. 2.5" lift. Ridea great. But I get a binding/popping noise when I back outand cut the wheel . Any ideas on what it could be?

It only when I cut wheel hard to the right. Right now Ithinking it might be the sway bar hitting the strut. So a sway bar relocate might be in order. Only other thing I can think of is the allignment cams are popping

I had a pop that had to do with the steering stops, although a lift fixed mine. If your CV boots are ok, before you relocate your sway bar, you can try removing it completely and see if that solves your problem.

I'll be watching this one. I'm lifting mine 2.5" in two weeks been on the fence about sway bar relocate.

I removed the sway bar and still have the pop. I am now convinced it's my CV axle binding. FWIW my 6112s are set to the top setting on stock UCAs. I ordered a set of SPC UCAs and will put them on next weekend. If that doesnt fix it I'll do a diff drop. If that doesnt fix it I'mselling it.

A diff drop will probably tell you whether it's a CV or not. I'm guessing it is because I had a similiar issue backing up and turning. I refreshed the entire front end so I can't tell you for sure it was the CV's but I'm pretty sure it was in my case.

Do you have aftermarket CV's or the original ones from the factory?

Sounds like the tread possibly catching on the UCA when you have the wheel cut. Happens to me every once and a while with my setup.

Before you do the diff drop, lift the truck up and free spin the tires. That will show you if you have any bind in the axles.

If your CVs are OEM they will not bind at full droop unless you have a large spacer on top of your coil overs.

Not full droop. Just full lock when backing up. My caster and camber suck. They are 1.9 each I think. Ordered some spc UCAs to pull the top in. Should be here by the weekend. Not going anywhere until then anyway as i killed the battery. Got an odyssey 34? Coming in. Gonnaget those UCAs in and check the pop. Convinced it's a popping CV. And I dont think it an OEM either.

Mine does the exact same thing and I don't have any CVs, so that rules that out for me. May vary for you, but I'm leaning towards the sway bar. I need to remove it here soon and test.
