Portland oregon

So wheeling is this sunday? I thought it was saturday? So where we meeting etc. Got a buddy who wants to go, I gotta work but told him about this run...its a yota so its still good :)
 
ever have one of those days

so I decided to do a quick fuel filter change. that has turned into " replacing the hard fuel line that goes from the filter up north. nothing like doing some basic maint. before a long trip.

and then I also got my exhaust installed. sounds good, but rattles cause I was trying to utilize the bumper hole. not much room to fit the pipe out. didnt have time to make it right this evening, and will have to wait till I get back from OR.

yeah for hard metal rattle.

hopefully I can find a fuel line before the weekend. so again I might not make the weekend fun. :sobbing:

need a beer, so CHeers to the day almost over.

Any and all are welcome to join! Do you know the area?
I'm going up for camping tomorrow morning to try and get the best site possible. There won't be any cell reception when I get there so I won't be able to guide people in unless I was given a specific time to meet folks at the entrance/highway...
As far as Sunday wheeling I'm not sure when people are gonna show up so I can only suggest finding us in the campgrounds???

so does anyone have a specific time to meet on sunday for those of us that are coming for just sunday. i was thinking 9 would be a good time to meet in the day use area??? and if anyone needs help getting there they can contact me on my cell and follow me from the shell station before you crest. i cant remember white milepost it is at. my cell is 503 537 7224 make sure you leave me a name and number if i dont answer.

well sorry boys, I dont think I will make it to town by Sunday. so I will hit Bend first for the 21st and maybe Portland after that. again sorry and wish you guys a good time.:thumb3:

I know exactly how you feel. I was fixing some leaks (fuel injectors were leaking and a oil leak under my valve cover) and got everything fixed and was puting it back together and there was to much sealant under one of the corners of the valve cover and it broke the valve cover.... fantastic.. so I am waiting on the parts should get them tonight and fix it all up and put her back together. Just sucks cuz I was so close to getting it fixed..

And I wont be able to hang my winch before the trip either.... which a$$e$$ me off a bit more..

But I should be able to make it for sunday. Where yall meeting on sunday? Is there anyone leading guys into the trail from fred myer or anywheres?

well i am still not sure what time i will be getting outta st helens on sunday morning or if i will make it out sat night... stupid army bs. anyhow if its sunday morning i doubt i will be able to make it to browns till like at least 10 or 11am. for those of us who have CBs i say we should do as last time and run on ch4 i will be checking this thread for updates through out the weekend until i leave st helens on sunday. also if you see a sheriff up there dont for get to ask him for some maps of the area... i have a map that i already plotted out a tentative route that i think will be best for every one, starting off farily easy and getting progressivly harder through out the day. that way as guy decide to not try a particular object they can watch the rest of us try if we have time as the day goes on.

browns camp is milepost 33 the shell station is somewhere around milepost 22 or 23 on highway six. it may be a mile less or more from that. but if anyone wants to meet me there at a certain time i can lead the way into browns camp. i do have a cb and will run ch4 along with kid.

kid wont be getting there to tell later in the morning. i would like to get to browns camp around 9 in the morning.
 
You guys should get some nice weather this weekend. This is the group I went up with last time I was at TSF back in Feb.

dude that is sick! how many of you guys had lockers and or winches?! i wanta do a run like that this next winter im all about snow wheelin...
 
^^^We don't like snow wheeling.... We hardly hit any trails that day because of how much snow there was on the trails... There was only one rig that had a winch. About 1/4 of the crew had sliders and armor.. Haha.

Yes, I want to go out soon. Looks like I can't make it this weekend. My dad's birthday dinner and my lady's softball game. I will keep an eye on the local area on here. This FJ owner needs to see some more browns camp :frog:
 
Hey guys for anyone not camping on Saturday night, do you want to meet up around 8:00 AM at the Banks Chevron?

This should be a good spot to fill up and caravan into the park and still give us time to be at the Browns Camp Campsite at 9:00 AM to meet up with those who have stayed the night.
