If I'm not mistaken you 2 where the only 2nd gen runners there? My buddy lance with the 2rz powered pink scout thought about bringing his 3.4 swap 2nd gen.
 
I think you are right come to think of it. It's hard to find a 2nd gen worth building (IMO) :tongue:
I heard rumor at the show that the scout might go up for sale.
 
Anyone going to the trophy challenge this weekend at browns camp?
I'll be there friday wheeling. Still don't have a front driveline but whatever :D

i know this is kinda short notice but im thinking about running lola pass road from hwy 26 to hood river, either tomorrow afternoon, or sunday sometime(depending on if people give imput and or what the wife says, im leaning more on the sunday time). its a nice drive, with some great places to take pics(yes i know its gonna be stormy, but thats just a plus for us PNW folk). if you have not made this drive before its a must imo. its not hard, a 2wd can do it easily (unless there is snow -and this time of year, no snow yet). i am gonna do a take my time deal, taking some glamor shots of the truck and the like.

i also want to do this a little later in the year around the time of the first snow fall, i want to get pics when the snow is just a dusting on things, and its still very very driveable. after a serton time they close the road down for the winter, cause the snow gets too deep and the road becomes impassable to most rigs. if you want to do either on of these runs let me know, we can work up something and smooth out the details
 
Im in! Sunday better but could prob swing tomorrow too, id have to check. Are there any areas especially prone to slides or washouts? (Cant imagine there wouldnt be). Theyre talking about the potential for slides with up to 10" of rain by sunday. Weather favors going tomorrow it looks like. Either way sounds like an adventure.

Makes me wonder, who searches and rescues search and rescue lol.

Yeah there are areas that could be prone to slides and washouts... They have in the past...

Lol funny question, and ironically I know the answer... People with more capable rigs than.I/us lol.
 
So apparently the wife is on-call all day Sunday, so tomorrow is the day, I am free after 11am, would like to head out around that time. The wife is also on-call tomorrow night, but that doesn't start till 1830, so depending on work load, dinner could be an option in hood river or... So yeah
