naw we would help you fix it man, but i dont think you will break anything, the only thing i have ever broken out there is my pride(from being showed up by a samurai) and two set of auto locking hubs off of both my 85 pickups(they had over 250k miles on them) but they where still very drivable in 2wd...

The last time I went up there I tried some blue trails and they were fine, besides the fact that I punctured two tires, but that's another story. But I had plenty of clearance and could hill climb and decend on bald tires at stock ride height with out risk of bottoming out. I will probably try for a black diamond if it isn't too rock infested. We'll see. I had a blast on the two blue runs near the camp ground though.

Sorry and bummed

well as I am in school. (summer now) I have planned on my Check ride with the FAA guy on the 12th which give me time to get out to Portland from OR.

well his schedule dont match mine and its been changed to Monday the 16th. this sorry to say is why I am going to school and it needs to be done so I am slaved to his schedule and will not be in OR that weekend.

so my plans now are to head to Bend first for the weekend of the 21st and then maybe hit Portland after.

sorry ladies and gents. I can't make the 15th as planned. I have to get my Private pilots license so I can work on my instrument this summer before school starts back up.

but I am sure you will all have fun and tell me about it. lol

Cheers and will keep you posted on my trip to OR. maybe we can at least catch a beer or something. McMinum'ss is always a nice watering hole I visit when I visit.

hey guys it was nice meeting you all up there at browns camp the weekend of april 30th. it was isaac and two other people. hope to do some runs with you guys sometime soon. i will be trying to go up with you all on the 15th just depends on my funds for that weekend. i dont drive a 4runner but i do drive a toyota. one day i will be owning a first gen 4runner!!! make sure you check out my forum. its a club we are starting up soon just getting things in order before we do but would love to see anyone and everyone on it

Some of us are camping, some are just wheeling on the 15th. Here is the latest list of what's what and who's who. The meeting place will depend on who is familiar with the area... some participants are completely unfamiliar with the area and will need to be guided from Hwy 6. Time is still TBD...

i can lead guys in on sunday if need be from say the Fred Myers at corn pass if need be, it will be probably around 9-10am or so(it all depends on drill, i guess i will have to say out in St Helens sat night, not too happy about that but i dont have much choice in the matter). i would suggest that when we all get there we meet around the camp ground area in the day use parking or staging area, and not at "the pit" or quarry as it is very popular and noisy and a smaller area.
 
Sunday's are rough for me. I'm going to have to pass this time around. Let me know when you guys are thinking of a Saturday and we'll make it happen. I look forward to seeing some pictures!

i agree. plus there are a lot of unsafe shooting going on. when i was up there last weekend. april 29th people were shooting 22s at a target that was 20 feet from them. man that is so unsafe that gun is one of the worst guns to be shooting at something close. anyways browns camp would be the best place. in the day use parking. there are sings and its easy to get to. i can help navigate the woods. i know the area decently and have spent some time up there. i still have to use the map sometimes but i have landmarks in my head that i remember. still wont know if i will make it tell next week though
 
check it out Im getting ready for the trip!! got the new bumper mounted and gonna mount the winch this weekend or next week!! getting excited..

thanks man.. and I got it at a 4 wheel drive swap meet out here. 350 bucks and got it mounted for free!! I gotta mount the winch up and she will be set!! oh and I need blinkers too lol..

Theres a way you can swap them to your Parking lights next to your headlights. You can probably find more info at 3rdgens.com. I know a couple of those guys and I know they did were able to put them up there.

Well looks like I won't be able to make it on this trip. I have a lab for school that day that I can't get out of :violin:

BUT I think we should plan another trip soon to the Oregon sand dunes!
