possible lift issue developed.

Installed Toytec ultimate about two months ago. Within a week now, whenever I hit a large bump or speed bump at a speed of 15mph + the driver side gives off this weird sound.

Almost sounds like a rough compression squeek. Anyone else experience this??

Is it incredibly loud and offensive, or just a little squeak/chirp? Truth be told, whenever you switch from OEM to aftermarket parts, especially suspension, it will 97% of the time not be as quiet. You can stay up on lube and maintenance but not even that solves it every time. My TC LCAs make squeaks because of the compound used in the bushings --- just gotten used to it because it's 100% normal.

more of a chirp but I can hear it with my windows down

Always good to get a second opinion. My rule of thumb, although sometimes hard to follow it myself, is if you're asking a buddy to ID a sound and he keeps saying "what sound?" then you're probably being paranoid and everything is fine. Trust me, happens often in my case :)...

I agree with [MENTION=66300]Intruder[/MENTION]. I am running the Light Racing UCAs too and had mine greased really good during install. Been running just over 2 months now and have no chirping or any other nosies from the UCAs.
 
I'm running the SPC (Light Racing) UCAs with 5100s and FJ springs for the last 65k on my 2008. It is still quiet as the day I bought it. 126k total vehicle miles now.

You may need to regrease the UCAs and re-torque everything on the front end.

FWIW, the front end squeaked like hell on my 2012 F150, which was all stock. The dealer insisted this was normal and unless something was actually broke, they would not attempt to fix it.
 
UPDATE!!!!!

buddy and I installed the bracket and swaybar spacers this morning. Retorqued everything and even greases the bearings and bushings.


Still making the same sound. :(
 
Friend who installed the lift with myself is taking the front end apart Wednesday to see if we can find the noise. It almost sounds like a tight rubber friction against metal. Hoping to pinpoint the noise. Maybe we need to relube the UCAs....
 
All fixed!!!!

My buddy and I ripped apart the front end today to try ad figure out where that noise was coming from. I had made a thread a while ago about it and finally, its fixed.

First we found the UCA ball joint was making contact with the coilovers. Unfortunately that was not the issue. Ripped out the UCAs and relube the buahings, very very generously. We also put the spare washers in place. We followed the directions the first time but it never specified the placement of the other two washers. So now the noise is gone lol not sure which fixed the issue.


On a side note, the metal rod that slides inside the UCAs, was found to be chipping on the side without the washer as well as noted heat markings. Very odd. But the truck feels way better and no noise! Whoot!
 
This sounds like LightRacing/SPC UCAs. You shouldn't have had "extra washers." How many washers are on there now? Do you have the latest version of their bushings?
