Here is my pup, Hank. He'll be 3 in November, Pit/??? Mix, the nicest dog you'll ever meet. He's such a baby.

And here he is making the most of one of the blizzards we got last winter.

So this is Lala(aka lollipop) She is 5 years old and is a mix of a staffordshire terrier. She is the best dog in the world and is the best dog i have ever owned.

Im having an issue and was wondering if anybody else has had similar issues.
Every time we go to the lake and she swims in the lake, she gets a rash all over her body by the next day. She absolutely loves playing in the lake, and sometimes refuses to go when its time to go home. Before anyone mentions food allergy or anything similar, that has already been ruled out and we know for sure its specifically from her swimming in the lake.

Does anyone else have this issue , and if so what have you done to remedy it.

We rinse her immediately and bathe her and use a little olive or coconut oil to soothe and moisten her skin.

Oh and here is my bud, Toby. He's a mix of west highland/cairn terrier almost 6 years old. First small dog I've ever had, luckily he thinks he's about 90 pounds so it works out. As you can see he makes himself at home when I'm not there.

I got "Doomsday" for Father's Day last year. He is a Red heeler/German Shepard mix.

This is "snivilous" (where the username came from), technically her name is Cheyenne. All black German Shepherd, will be 9 in November. My greatest friend I've ever had! Hoping to rent a house this summer/next semester so I can bring her to school with me.

Yes same lake, its the only water she's been in besides the hose and bath.

I looked at a map and it looks like you have a rock Quarry just north of you, Arizona has a problem with Mercury it looks like. The rock quarry Would have elevated levels of this element. I would assume it's an environmental allergy or sensitivity and not food, because if it were food you'd think it would happen more often.

Kona is first. We adopted her as an abused half dachshund/half chihuahua, we think? Molly is a full dachshund. She likes rolling around on warm concrete. They are both awesome and the best part of my day is coming home from work at about midnight and having them attack my face when I get in bed.

Its saguaro lake, but we have a system of lakes, Roosevelt is first, then it goes to a couple other lakes, saguaro is last.its the same water.

Right, I'd be interested to know if any of the other lakes cause that same problem. Further research, I've found that manganese, copper, and a few other elements are also found in that water system. It suck for the pup but trial and error would help to further your knowledge of what might be causing it. Now all those lakes are what you pull household water from however, I would assume the elements within are filtered out to make it potable. Feel free to PM me I'm not a vet or anything but do have access to many specialist around here in Portland and might be able to ask a few question when working on their machines.

Here's Dora. She was the best dog we ever had, and way smarter than the five teenagers we had living at home at the time....LOL!!

Sadly she passed away two years ago this month. Isn't a day that goes by that we don't miss her.

I know the feeling, I'm usually not one to shed many tears, but whenever I lose a dog it's at least a good month before the thought of them doesn't make me lose it. I know it's sad to say but, it's harder then losing some family members (human).

Here is my "pig dog". :happy: just a little nickname I had for her. Her name was Abby, when I rescued her she had a scab on her head. So naturally when trying to pick a name I just rhymed it with scab, so scabby Abby. Dont judge me. :behindsofa: She was a great road trip and camping dog. Listened well and loved to go on trips. Can't wait to rescue another pup.
