Good reading, thanks for posting. I like seeing the various sub ideas for those not re-using the stock JBL enclosure. Cargo space is important to me. I like the JL Stealth box idea but not the price.

For those with amps under the seats, what have you done in regards to the HVAC vents under there?

I don't have vents there. I've thought about buying some spacers and putting the vent under the amp but haven't done it.

No problems yet after a year and a half and time spent in snowy CO conditions where the heat was on high for long periods of time.

I recently soundproofed mine and blocked off the holes in the subframe under the seat that let heat pass to where the amp is so now it just kinda hits that and then the back of my feet.

I've got 2200W RMS in the trunk and ~3300W RMS total in the car. I'll get some pics up soon. I keep the bass relatively low, however.

I wanted to preserve part of the trunk (I tend to tow a lot and use the trunk a lot so I needed to be able to flip the seat down and slide the sub up by the front seats. This box barely fits behind the small back seat) so I stayed with one 12" polk and the Boston Acoustic GTA-400m amp. I had a kicker 400.1 before and REALLY like this amp's power and the sound quality much better.
