Just Picked Her Up Saturday

I've come back to the 4runner after selling my 3rd gen in 2011. Anyone is South Louisiana?

New to the 4Runner family but not new to the Toyota family. It's about a month old now but here's my wife's 2017 TRD Off-Road

New to 5th gen

Coming from the 4th Gen section with "Crayc" to a 2017 TRD Premium! It was a bittersweet move, but I'm certainly happy with it! White now seems to run in the family with dad's '14 Limited.

My new t4r TRD off road, Herbert. I called her that because the new 5th gens look like pissed off tortoises. I think she might sadly end up being a mall crawler after looking at these Florida swamps. [emoji14]

Also thinking of dipping the stock rims bronze or gold. Has anyone done this yet or shoot me some inspo. It seems like everyone goes for black.

Go to the "Google Custom Search" box at the top right of your screen and type in "KDSS." You'll get more results than you can shake a stick at!

Thousands upon thousands of posts on the topic boil down to this:

Pros: Less body lean when cornering on-road; better articulation at slow speeds off-road.

Cons: Adds complexity and cost; one more thing that can break; some people don't like the tauter feel on road.

I'm glad I got the KDSS. For me it's the best of both worlds handling-wise, and I'm confident in its long-term reliability because it's a relatively simple system.

You are spot on!
I love the KDSS for the very reasons you outlined. You are also correct about it being a relatively simple system. It's a passive system designed around basic physics, which lends itself to being robust.

What bumpers did you go with? I am hoping to have by heftyfabs front and rear in the next month or so... Wheels look great, btw!!
