Post your dinner

Waiting for a flight I saw a guy truly enjoying every bit of his burger king and could not resist going for the photos

Made some chile rellenos for the first time last night. For the batter I whisked three egg whites to a soft peak, then lightly mixed in the yolks whisked up with a little flour.

In a cast iron pan with rippling oil spoon the batter down and gently lay the stuffed roasted flour dredged poblano on top, then spoon over egg batter, gentle flip and finish in oven.

Came out utterly fantastic. Only stuffed with cheese bc that's how I like them but chorizo, etc would have been good too.

Got my thanksgiving turkey ready last night for tomorrow.

Oh and because turkey sucks, it's instead a whole beef tenderloin that I carefully trimmed, slathered in olive oil, garlic, fresh rosemary and thyme, salt and pepper.

Then I wrapped it in bacon and trussed it up with cooking twine for even cooking. It's gonna bang.

Had some balut yesterday. Some may think it's gross but if you want to know what that is a quick google search can suffice.
to prove I'm not crazy I had some some of this for dinner:
not the actually picture but still the same.

Standing rib roast with bacon quilt? Yeah buddy!

I made a nice greece inspired chicken dish the other day but wanted to grill my chicken and it was nasty snowy outside.

Solution? My version of a seasonal depression lamp:

Uh, how come when I google it, it doesn't look anything close to that picture you posted.
I actually thought that was a buffalo chicken pizza. Googled balut like you said and about vomited in my mouth. Sorry Nate, yuck!

Oh good gods, I just googled it too, to see what it was :barf: I think I'm going to be sick! lol

A balut is a fertilized duck embryo that is boiled and eaten in the shell. You can also shell them and fry them, as well as many other recipe's I'm sure. I'm assuming the picture he's posted is a different meal..... I hope lol Balut is definitely a curtural food, not my style

The pizza was a different meal. I did have balut though. That was back when I was in Philippines earlier this year. I understand some may not think it looks/ taste good. Lol

This is fantastic! If I had the space I would build a grill into my kitchen. Crappy weather never stops me either.
