This is fantastic! If I had the space I would build a grill into my kitchen. Crappy weather never stops me either.

An overhead broiler is in my dream kitchen.

As for dream grill?

Had some balut yesterday. Some may think it's gross but if you want to know what that is a quick google search can suffice.
to prove I'm not crazy I had some some of this for dinner:

Where did you get balut? I've seen it on No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain iirc, How does it taste?

Took a shot at making collard greens yesterday to bring to a dinner party where the host was doing a rib roast. Turned out phenomenal, when time allows I'll definitely be making these again.

With the addition of a smoked ham shank.

I didn't think about that, but yeah a lot of iron and vitamins I bet. Bacon is really healthy too in my opinion, lol.

The consistency of the greens after simmering for two hours was akin to a cabbage really, moist and soft but a ton more flavor.

This place is called Taqueria Portland. It's in N Portland, Saint Johns neighborhood. Best Mexican Food in Portland!

The way I found it, I was just driving down the street and was hungry and passed the place. I almost kept going but turned around and stopped.

I have been going there so long that the cook even knows my name.

No joke, I have ate at a lot of Mexican places but by far this is the best!

Yelp is just gleaming with reviews.

Nice, yeah that yelp link has so many 5star reviews haha I'll try and remember if I ever make it up that way. I still have some friends up there but I haven't been up there in years. I remember the area a little bit though. Thanks!

What was the finished product, a stir fry or something? Ingredients sound good.

Grilled zucchini and chicken salad with a fresh cilantro lime dressing.

Some sweet hot asian style wings, I used the sweet chili from Red Hot and then kicked it up with some thai chili paste, super good.
