Anyone know if I can use Bilstein 5100 #33-187174 shock with OME 861 coil?

If my notes are correct, 861s are good for 5 to 6 in of lift, like an LC9 wrap, while the FJ rear Billy's are good for about 4 inches of lift. Those shocks max out and about 24 inches give or take.

My '98 with a SS1.2 kit.

LC 8 wrap in back with LC KYB shocks off same vehicle. got both for 50 bucks. 280 k ish on the springs shocks are pretty new.
Up front I got 99 talls with tundra 5100's set on 3rd perch.

hope the rear comes down a bit 24 1/4 that's with no cone bumps. Full size KO2 spare and camping gear in the back.
Front rides at 22.5 ish.

ride is good. I need to do a panhard drop and get it aligned and then can make my call.

Everyone running Toytec/ eibach springs on 5100 upfront.

What perch are you on? How's the ride and flex offroad?

How's the on road ride quality with lc coils in the rear and tundra coils upfront. Ive heard the bilstein ome combo runs rough without any weight which is what ill be doing. Are they almost as good as factory suspension since its still made by Toyota?

All aftermarket Lift setups ride rougher than the stock suspension. Unless you want to spend money on Icon, Kings or Dobinson IMS, that is. But, lift setups are biased toward off-road performance and that means a stiffer ride on road.
