Potential bad wheel speed sensor?

I had a CEL for a few weeks ago that I cleared. I also unplugged the battery to attempt to clear my VSC and traction control lights, since i'm told they're on a separate computer. Although, that didn't work.

The lights come on as soon as I start moving. They are not on during start up or idle.

I've been getting the VSC and traction control lights since before I did my daystar 2.5/1.5 spacers, and kind of think I bumped or broke a wheel speed sensor.

Does anyone know how to diag this? Or know where exactly the wheel speed sensors are?

First off we need the year of your 4Runner, '03 & '04 4Runners easily lose ZPC (Zero Point Calibration) when there is low or no battery voltage and this needs to be relearned to eliminate the lights.

Typically this shows up as VSC and TRAC lights only without the MIL, it is possible for '05+ models to lose ZPC and/or have the ZPC become an issue when lifting because the vehicle is now running under old calibration data and still thinks its in its stock ride position.

Do you have an ABS capable scantool by any chance? You could easily see a dead ABS Wheel Speed sensor by watching the Datalist while going around the parking lot as it will not register any speed.

did you perhaps stretch the abs sensor wire when the lift got installed? thats what happened to me and when i scanned the code it came up as a bad wheel speed sensor. i re-soldered the wire and everything is fine now since i did the zero point calibration
