Power door lock and remote programming

here is the issue my door lock motor on the drivers side is weak, it gives out during the process to reprogram the keyless remote. I can still here the switch working but cannot get it to enter programming mode.

Two questions, is there a way short of replacing the motor to overcome this? Can the dealer program the remotes by some other method?

if you manually help the lock up and down during the process it will work and still get you into programming mode. Mine on the other hand has the driver and passenger side weak lock actuators so its a 2 man job assisting the actual locks up and down in synchronouslol
