The LC gear is different! You'll see that it is completely different when you flip your power 4runner seat upside down and look at the gear.

I just contacted one of the companies. They said it's the same gear.

Cool. I did the same a couple years ago and they said it was different. What's for sure is that the picture of the gear for sale doesn't match the 4runner gear. Please do report your findings once you have the gear.
If you don't hear the motor at all then replacing the gear won't help you

I went down the same road in 2015: tried the Gamiviti LandCruisier gear, and it wouldn't fit. I was able to find a donor gear from a used seat, and got it back together. I wish I would've measured the good gear while I had it off, and then I could provide a CAD model to you or Gamiviti. I guess I'll take the measurements of a good gear when it fails again!
BTW, prototype plastic molded parts are quite cheap these days. If it were me, I'd contact Gamiviti, but if they don't want to reverse engineer the gear, then I would do a short run of molded parts and sell them here. I wouldn't make any money on it, as this thread shows that this isn't as big of a problem as it is with the LC.
Since I replaced the gear in 2015 I tell everyone to not adjust the seats unless they have to!:ak472: And as I'm the only one that drives the rig, the driver's seat very rarely gets moved.
I modeled it last night after I made this post.

I was going to 3D print it in the next day or so to test. My idea was once I was sure my gear worked to actually print a female mold that the metal shaft fit into and cast the gear out of epoxy with a little bit of chopped glass in it.
If you have a contact to do a run I’d consider that route

Sounds like a good plan!
Over-casting it onto the steel part with epoxy is probably a good approach. But if it goes wrong, how would you get the epoxy off of the steel to try it again?
Do you think that a molded part could be pressed on in the same way as Gamiviti does? Perhaps freezing the steel part (and heating the plastic part in boiling water) to get a partial cryo fit?

I think it would be really hard to attach anything to the existing metal (other than by forming it around it); it has knurl marks like a barbell (you can see them if you look close). I can give heating and cooling a shot with the broken piece just for fun.

Ok, I think I've figured it out, my prototype worked pretty well, the gear took power from the motor and moved the seat slide. Only issue was I didn't have the pitch quite right to manually adjust the seat with a 12mm wrench (overall, I'd consider it a win and "working"). Making a few tweaks and crossing my fingers it's perfect.
That being said if anyone needs any replaced, let me know. I'll probably put together a kit of 2 gears with instructions and post it up (I figured $30 shipped was a fair price to cover my costs).

12 volt battery and alligator jump clips on the motor connector. Or plug the seat in and use the switches move the seats back and forth to pull the bolts.
