Power Window Auto Switch

I have a 1994 Toyota 4Runner. My problem is with the auto power window switch for the driver's window. When pushed all the way down and released, it takes the window all the way down. When pulling it up all the way and releasing, the window stops going up. Shouldn't it continue all the way up? If so, any ideas out there as to how this could be corrected to work as it should?

Are you sure it's an auto up/down switch?

Our 1997 Camry is auto-down only. The 4Runner is auto up/down.
