Before I go tearing into my interior to run this power wire to the rear accessory plug is there a preferred route that most use? I need to run to the right side of the vehicle as I want to hook up to the factory rear plug for always on power for my new fridge and want it to look and function like stock. I thought I could get away with just doing the jumper to make the plug always hot but that cable run doesn't even come close to handling the compressor starting amps when the 4runner is off. It turns on then get a dead screen with blinking orange light telling me NOPE. Not that I wasn't forewarned in other threads but you never know if that paint is actually dry right?
I assume I can just go through the grommet on the firewall on the driver side and cross over under the dash but if there is an easier method I would appreciate the help. Trying to maintain the shortest cable run. Purchased 20ft as I have never needed more for other installs but after ordering I realized I haven't done an install on an SUV only passenger cars so I am a little nervous.
4th gen 4runner. Non JBL if that matters. Purchased 8awg as it was bigger than what Arb sold as there install kit so figured it would be plenty. No intention of a Amp install but used the tag as that crowd is known to really tear into an interior and have figured the best routes out.
